“Look,” Skellian said, after taking another long sip of ale. “All’s we know, is that we’ve got to look for the Red Dragon. Neither of us know what it is, or where it is, or even why we need to find the bleedin’ thing!”

The old man rubbed his chin. “You don’t know what it is, or where to find it. So, why are you looking for it?”

Joe McShoots wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. “Long story. Some creepy old grim looking bloke appeared to me and Skell, then told us that’s what we need to do, then pushed us through some portal thing. Eh, Skell?”

“Aye, lad.”

The old man thought for a while. “Portal thing, eh? Sounds ominous does that. Very, very ominous, yes indeedy. Looks like you’ve been tangled up with some sort of God. That’s my guess, anyway.”

Skellian yawned. “Aye, seems so. You gonna tell us what we need to know or what? Where can we find this god forsaken dragon?”

“Good question!” the man said, clapping his hands together. “Thing is. It ain’t a creature ye be lookin’ for. It’s a power.”

Joe McShoots sat up and placed his ale down on the table. “What sort of power?”

“Why, lad,” the man said. “THE power. The only one that matters, anyway.”

Skellian looked at McShoots, then back to the old man. “What does it do? Why us?”

“Hmm. That, I am unsure about. But it seems to be your destiny.” He turned away from Skellian. “Joe McShoots. The power is to be yours, you see. I have some idea where to find it, but the journey will be uncomfortable, and incredibly dangerous. Do you have the minerals to look for it?”

Joe McShoots nearly choked. “Me? What in the blazes am I goin’ to do with some random power, man? I’m just ol’ Skell’s sidekick. I just travel, drink, and occasionally get me sword out and fight evil. That’s all.”

The old man chuckled. “That is yet to become clear. Now, you up for it or not?”
